Associate Pastor Lisa Smith joined us in November 2005. She is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran Seminary in Berkeley, California. Lisa grew up on a farm in Northeast Iowa, where her parents still live and work. She attended Wartburg College, in Waverly, Iowa, where she earned B.A. degrees in Journalism and Religion. Lisa worked two years as a newspaper reporter in Waterloo, Iowa, before entering seminary. During her third year of seminary, she completed an internship at Amazing Grace Lutheran in Anchorage, Alaska. Hobbies and interests include running, yoga, cooking, reading, backpacking, and writing. Pastor Lisa is a newly certified yoga instructor and currently leads yoga classes at the YMCA and here at Central.

We welcomed Senior Pastor Glenn C. Petersen to Central with a service of installation on September 30, 2007. At this time we pray for resolution to the sale of his home in Colfax, Washington, so he may complete his and wife Carol's move to Anchorage. Look for a more complete bio in the future.
